Healthy Babies Act of 2025

The Healthy Babies Act of 2025 would amend the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 to expand the foods eligible under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Specifically, it directs the Secretary of Agriculture to update WIC regulations to add infant food combinations and dinners to the list of supplemental foods available to participants. The required regulatory update must occur within one year of enactment. In short, the bill seeks to give WIC participants more options for infant feeding by permitting packaged or mixed infant meals as eligible foods, subject to future rulemaking.
