Make DOGE Permanent Act

The Make DOGE Permanent Act would amend the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act of 2006 (FFATA) to give Members of Congress real-time access to updated information about federal awards. It creates a separate, Members-only hyperlink on the information website (likely tied to FFATA data) that provides up-to-date versions of award information. It also expands what counts as an “entity” for purposes of the information provided through this portal to include individual recipients of federal assistance and individual federal employees. The Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) would implement this portal, and the hyperlink must be established within six months of enactment. In short, the bill aims to speed up and broaden the visibility of federal spending data for lawmakers, by adding a private, real-time access point and by allowing data about individuals—not just organizations—to be included in what Members can see.
