CMV–22 Reliability and Readiness Enhancement Act
The CMV-22 Reliability and Readiness Enhancement Act would authorize the Secretary of the Navy to integrate nacelle improvement modifications into the CMV-22 aircraft fleet. The goal is to boost operational readiness and reliability, reduce maintenance demands, and support contested logistics operations, while also sustaining the specialized tiltrotor industrial base during the transition from the V-22 to future long-range aircraft. The bill directs the Navy to adopt improvements based on structural, wiring, and systems upgrades and to use lessons learned from the Air Force’s CV-22 nacelle modernization effort. It prioritizes these modifications for CMV-22 aircraft in fiscal years 2025 and 2026 and requires coordination with defense industry stakeholders to maintain the workforce and supply chain. A congressional report is required within 180 days after enactment to update on implementation, readiness metrics, industrial-base impacts, and recommended next steps.
