Supporting the designation of the second Friday of June as "National Service and Conservation Corps Day".

This House Resolution designates the second Friday of June as “National Service and Conservation Corps Day.” It acknowledges the network of Service and Conservation Corps (funded under subtitle C of the National and Community Service Act) and highlights their work across more than 150 corps nationwide. The resolution notes that these programs provide education, workforce development, and community support to about 23,000 young adults and post-9/11 veterans, and describes their role as modern descendants of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) of the Great Depression. While largely symbolic, the measure urges recognition of national service and supports the continued and expanded role of these corps within existing law.
