To direct the Secretary of the Navy to recognize certain aspects of the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida, as a national memorial, national memorial garden, and national K9 memorial, and for other purposes.
This bill would direct the Secretary of the Navy to recognize certain components of the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida as national memorials: specifically, the National Navy SEAL Museum Memorial, the Memorial Garden and Living Beach, and the Naval Special Warfare K9 Memorial. Each component would be designated as a national memorial, national memorial garden, and national K9 memorial, respectively, within the Navy’s framework. The measure is a symbolic recognition intended to honor Navy SEALs and their canine partners. It does not authorize funding or transfer federal ownership, but it would formally elevate these sites in the eyes of the federal government. The bill is introductory and has been referred to the Committee on Armed Services.
