Jeremy and Angel Seay and Sergeant Brandon Mendoza Protect Our Communities from DUIs Act of 2025

This bill would add new grounds to the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) making noncitizens (aliens) who have been convicted of, or who admit to, driving while intoxicated or impaired (DUI) inadmissible to enter the United States and deportable from the United States if they are already present. The new provisions cover DUI offenses defined by the jurisdiction where the conviction or acts occurred (including DUI tied to alcohol or drugs), and apply regardless of how the offense is classified under local, state, tribal, or federal law (misdemeanor or felony). In short, a person with a DUI history could be barred from visas or admission and could face removal if already in the country, even for non-felony DUI offenses, based on admissions or conviction.
