Uterine Fibroid Intervention and Gynecological Health Treatment Act of 2025
The Uterine Fibroid Intervention and Gynecological Health Treatment Act of 2025 would authorize the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) to award grants to states to boost early detection of and intervention for uterine fibroids, and to fund public awareness campaigns about these conditions. The bill also directs HHS to support research on early detection and intervention strategies, and to study issues such as disparities in pain control during fibroid surgery and intrauterine conditions like Asherman’s Syndrome. Grants could cover screening and imaging, patient navigation, and efforts to improve access to care, with a priority for geographic areas that have socially vulnerable populations at elevated risk for fibroids. The act requires regular reports to Congress and public posting of findings.
