Veterans Health Care Stamp Act

The Veterans Health Care Stamp Act would require the United States Postal Service (USPS) to issue a special postage stamp each year (around Veterans Day) to raise funds for the medical care and treatment of veterans. Proceeds from the sale of the stamp would be deposited with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in accordance with the existing provisions of law governing commemorative stamps (as last in effect). USPS would determine the stamp’s image/design, and there would be no numerical limit on how many stamps can be issued. The bill essentially creates a voluntary, ongoing funding mechanism for VA health care funded through the public purchase of a dedicated stamp.
