To amend title 40, United States Code, to include Ontario County in the region covered by the Northern Border Regional Commission, and for other purposes.

This bill would expand the geographic region covered by the Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC) by adding Ontario County (New York) to the list of counties that receive NBRC support. Specifically, it amends Section 15733(3) of title 40 of the U.S. Code by inserting “Ontario” after “Oneida” in the enumeration of counties within the NBRC region. The practical effect is to make Ontario County eligible for NBRC funding and programs that support economic development, infrastructure, and related efforts in the border region.
