District of Columbia National Guard Commanding General Residency Act

The District of Columbia National Guard Commanding General Residency Act would amend the District of Columbia militia law to require the Commanding General of the DC National Guard to live in the District of Columbia. The new residency rule would take effect one year after the bill becomes law. In short, the bill mandates that the top officer in charge of the DC National Guard establish residence in DC as a condition of holding the post.
