Military Spouse Entrepreneurship Act of 2025

The Military Spouse Entrepreneurship Act of 2025 would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) to establish a program (or expand an existing one) specifically designed to help military spouses form, operate, and grow small businesses. The program would provide remotely accessible online services and would emphasize addressing the unique challenges military spouses face, such as deployments, workforce absences, and frequent relocations. It would fund mentorship and partnerships with organizations that support military spouse entrepreneurship and could include other appropriate assistance as determined by the SBA. The bill also directs the SBA to conduct a survey to identify barriers to entrepreneurship for military spouses, including access to capital and other resources, and to report the findings within 180 days of enactment. The SBA would then use the survey results to shape outreach and ensure the program reaches those it intends to serve, with the possibility of consulting the Secretary of Defense as needed.
