Toll of Tariffs Act of 2025

Toll of Tariffs Act of 2025 would require the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) to study how tariffs imposed by presidential executive orders (EOs) affect inflation. The study uses tariffs enacted from January 20, 2025 through the date of enactment, and the resulting report to Congress must include the study findings plus quantified impacts on prices as measured by the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) and comparable non-urban price indicators as determined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The bill establishes a tight reporting deadline: the USITC must submit its report within 60 days after enactment.
