Blue Angels Act
Blue Angels Act would codify the organization, mission, and location of the U.S. Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron (the Blue Angels) in law. Specifically, it requires the Navy to maintain a Blue Angels squadron based in Pensacola, Florida, whose mission is to conduct flight demonstrations to support Navy recruiting and public awareness. The bill mandates concrete activity and staffing rules: at least two flight demonstration events per year must take place in Pensacola, and at least 60 percent of the squadron’s total training flights must occur in Florida. It also preserves the current size of the squadron by prohibiting reductions in the number of aircraft or personnel below the levels in place as of July 31, 2025. These requirements would apply to each calendar year after the bill’s enactment. The measure does not specify funding or budget changes.
