No Woke Indoctrination of Military Kids Act
The No Woke Indoctrination of Military Kids Act would broadly prohibit the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) from teaching, promoting, or implementing any concepts associated with critical race theory (CRT) and any programs or practices related to diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), or accessibility within DoDEA-operated schools. It would ban CRT-related instruction, training, and curriculum, and it would eliminate or restrict offices, officers, data dashboards, and training programs tied to DEI initiatives (with limited exceptions for historical Equal Employment Opportunity and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance). The bill also creates a mechanism for parental complaints and imposes penalties on DoD staff or contractors who wilfully violate its provisions. It would take effect within 60 days of enactment. In short, the bill aims to remove or roll back DEI-related structures and CRT-related content in DoDEA schools and places new enforcement and reporting requirements on the Department of Defense.
