Improving Care in Rural America Reauthorization Act of 2025

The Improving Care in Rural America Reauthorization Act of 2025 reauthorizes key Rural Health Care Services Outreach Grants and Rural Health Network Development Grants under the Public Health Service Act, and strengthens requirements to target and involve rural underserved populations. Specifically, it directs that grant funds be used to meet the health care needs of rural underserved communities and to ensure these populations participate in the development, planning, and ongoing operations of the projects or networks. In addition, the bill extends the authorization period for these programs from 2021–2025 to 2026–2030. The changes are designed to improve access to care and promote integrated, community-involved rural health networks.
