Of inquiry requesting the President of the United States to furnish certain information to the House of Representatives relating to the Department of Government Efficiency's access to and usage of NUMIDENT and other personally identifiable information in the possession of the Social Security Administration.

H. Res. 701 is a House resolution of inquiry introduced in the 119th Congress. It asks the President to provide the House with documents and communications within 14 days that relate to the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) access to and use of the Social Security Administration’s NUMIDENT database and other personally identifiable information (PII) held by the SSA. The resolution focuses on: (a) the development of a cloud environment hosting a copy of NUMIDENT, including any risk assessments and security protocols; (b) the stated purposes for creating such a cloud copy (e.g., federal audits/investigations, restricting benefits, creating a centralized federal database, selling data, or training AI); (c) who has accessed or used NUMIDENT in that cloud by named DOGE personnel or contractors; and (d) access to PII in the SSA Enterprise Data Warehouse after March 14, 2025 by named DOGE personnel or contractors. The President must deliver copies of any relevant documents, records, or communications to the House.
