Small Business Health Options Awareness Act of 2025
H.R. 5498, titled the Small Business Health Options Awareness Act of 2025, would require the Small Business Administration (SBA) to actively share information about individual coverage health reimbursement arrangements (ICHRA) with small businesses. The information would be distributed through SBA’s small business development centers (SBDCs) and district offices and included in SBA outreach materials, such as social media, press releases, and the SBA website. The bill defines relevant terms by referencing existing federal rules and Small Business Act definitions, and it designates certain federal agencies (including Treasury, HHS, and Labor) as appropriate sources for the information. The bill does not create new programs or funding; its purpose is to raise awareness and understanding of ICHRA options among small business concerns.
