To provide for the conveyance of certain National Forest System land to the city of Fruit Heights, Utah, and for other purposes.
The Fruit Heights Land Conveyance Act of 2025 would require the U.S. Forest Service to transfer, without payment, about 295.89 acres of National Forest System land in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest to the City of Fruit Heights, Utah. The transfer would occur within 30 days of enactment and would be executed by quitclaim deed (a transfer with no guarantees about the title). The land would come with conditions: it must be used only for public purposes; existing rights (if any) would stay intact; an easement for the Bonneville Shoreline Trail would be reserved; and the exact boundary would be determined by a survey, with the City paying the survey and related administrative costs. If the land is later used in a way that conflicts with these terms, the land could revert to the Secretary of Agriculture at the Secretary’s discretion.
